TrueOrigin Present at VIIE 2023 – Vietnam International Innovation Expo

TECHNOLOGY EXPO

The Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2023 (VIIE 2023) took place over 5 days from October 28 to November 1, 2023, chaired by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and organized by NIC in coordination with reputable partners. It was a major event of international stature, gathering about 300 leading technology enterprises from Vietnam and abroad across many important technology fields such as semiconductors, environmental technology, and cybersecurity.

Alongside big-name corporations, the event also saw the participation of many players in the innovation ecosystem: state agencies, research institutes, expert and intellectual networks, investment funds, and consulting and innovation support organizations.

A tiny object that seems common and familiar to everyone — the anti-counterfeit label — faces a fundamental problem: "anti-counterfeit labels themselves get counterfeited". A problem that seemed unsolvable for more than 30 years has now been completely solved by TrueOrigin.

With iSeal Authentication technology, the anti-counterfeit label becomes a bridge between the Digital space and the physical world; here BlockChain (BC) is one of 6 important technology components used to Authenticate the chip ???.

Why does NFC, whose chip is already secure, still need added Authentication?

NFC communicates in a near field via radio waves; near as it is, there is still a distance, and communication still happens between ? and ?, ?n and ?ình, with ?ường slipping in between and always answering Bình exactly as An would, so Bình cannot tell the real from the fake — in plain words, Cường impersonates An and Bình has no way to detect it. So the chip is still just an information carrier that must be protected against Cường's actions.

Here BlockChain is not used to mint ????, the problem is anti-counterfeit labels being counterfeited. From a technical standpoint, which algorithm to use depends on whether its properties suit the application; identification by BlockChain is better, just as QuickSort is faster sorting.

Combining NFC + BC also requires a method. Naturally, if you rely only on the security of the NFC chip, it is essentially no different from qrcode + BC — the difference being that BC decorates the qrcode while NFC beautifies the BC. They are called decoration because they add nothing useful — using them changes nothing: the problem of anti-counterfeit labels being counterfeited remains unsolved.

iSeal = NFC + BC is a new principle. The + sign here is shorthand for the principle of combination: the changing digital signature from BC is stored back onto NFC. Recording the change makes the label itself change and blend into the interaction — the stronger the interaction, the stronger the bond.

Why must it change?

Because everything static can be copied. A copied identity is a 1-N identity and can be faked. Life and all things change impermanently. I today am different from me yesterday, yet I am still me, 1-1, because I blend with all things. Anyone who imitates yesterday's me is already outdated and useless.

Change and movement are a philosophical principle, a universal law of all things, long distilled in the ancient culture of the East. Applied in practice in iSeal, it is simple to understand: the data and seal on the label are compared with the latest version stored at the center for verification, and each time the label is opened for viewing, a new seal is stamped. The comparison also helps detect which version Cường copied information from.

SEMINAR

Also within VIIE23, the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) held the seminar "Promoting innovation and risk governance in Blockchain applications". Mr. Trần Đình Ngọc, CEO of Onyx, brought TrueOrigin into the discussion "Applying blockchain in product origin traceability", sharing knowledge, reducing risks, avoiding wasted resources, and especially the application of identifying all things.

For the first time, there was a frank, multi-dimensional discussion about product origin traceability between practical needs and technology developers. The purpose of tracing origins is clearly to determine who is responsible: whatever the source, responsibility lies there. And the application of ?lock?hain (BC) — is it about preserving culture in the product story, or what role does it play in the authentication process?
